The Friesian breed has a rich history dating back to the 4th century. They were mighty warhorses that transported crusaders into battle during the 12th and 13th centuries. Later they became the demand of royalty. Over time the pureblood breed became rare. Here at Bella Meadows Ranch, we invest heavily in preserving this living legend. The first time I saw a Friesian was at the Sandpoint Draft horse show and all I could think was WOW … a real-life UNICORN! They are such magical mystical creatures that come from Heaven just for me!
Well, never say never. I’ve had the great honor to own a few Friesians all of them incredibly special. BUT… when we watched Magicque being born we knew from his very first breath that he was the one in a million dream horse!
